FAQs

I missed grading day, what do I do?

This year, the women’s hockey club is having two grading days, one on 10 February and one on 19 February. If you’ve missed both of these, please email anuwhc@gmail.com with what grade you played last year, if you wish to change grades, and any other relevant information. More information on this can be found here.

If you’ve missed the men’s grading day, please email anumhc@gmail.com.

How does grading work?

The women are doing grading a bit different this year! Please stay tuned for more information to come on this.

I don’t like my grade, what do I do?

Please see this page on what to do if you have a question or concern.

The season has already begun, but I’d love to play.

And we’d love to have you! If you’d like to play in the women’s competition, please send an email here, and if you’d like to play for the men’s, please send an email here and we can walk you through the process.

Where do I purchase a uniform?

We have a page all about our uniforms here for the women and here for the men.

When does the season start?

The hockey season in Canberra typically runs from the end of March through to September. The exact dates are currently unreleased, but to be first to know when the information is out, please make sure to join our Facebook page.

When do I have to pay my registration fees by?

Registration fees are due before you play. This means fees are due round 1 or, if you start playing during the season, before your first game.

If you are worried, or have any questions, please email either the women’s or men’s treasurers who can help you out.

I’d love to umpire/coach, what do I do?

Thank you so much for your interest! If you’re new, or not confident and looking to play in the women’s competition, please check out our page on development here.

For umpiring, you can either email us and we’ll put you into contact with our Umpiring Coordinator, or you can contact Hockey ACT’s umpiring coordinator here.

If you’re interesting in coaching, or assistant coaching, please reach out to the Vice President’s of the appropriate club.
